Making our mark
Redline contemporary art center, Denver, USA
September 23 - November 3, 2023
This exhibition features local, national, and international artists who are leading contributors to the Post-Vandalism and Graffiti-Futurism and mural movements. Curated byAnthony Garcia Sr, RedLine Resident Artist Alumni and Founder/Director of Alto Gallery and Birdseed Collective.
Making Our Mark honors and acknowledges that for many artists, street art, murals, and graffiti art functions as their first exposure to the fine arts. The exhibition seeks to highlight artists of the ever-evolving street, mural, and graffiti art communities that interact, challenge, and redefine the boundaries that exist between interior/exterior, inside/outside, and permission/prohibition—in both public and private spaces.
The piece presented at this exhibition is a polyptych painted from images taken in different cities of traces left by attempts to erase graffiti. The bottom right section of the painting is a reproduction of a multiple exposure photography artwork created by Stephen Burke & Fiachra Corcoran.
Other artists : Ewok MSK, Ceerre, Bram Braamm, Brett Barmby, Bisco Smith, Doug Hoxxoh, Robert Seikon, Joker Transcend, Justus Roe, Jel Martinez, Mario Zoots, Jack Avila, Anti Static, Anders Reventlov, Ruben Aguirre, Tilt, Dr. Dax, Jay Belici, Imagine, R0melle, Jolt
